OMG, the med student who is working with my ortho dr is about 12. And apparently, my diagnosis is that I'm fat. Joy.
Sorry, the above was from my phone when I had just left the appt.
ETA: I went to the ortho doctor to hopefully FINALLY get something done about my ankle and foot that have been bothering me since our accident last May. I've been to the podiatrist, the rheumatologist, 12 weeks of PT, x-rays, an MRI, and I was hoping for some answers. He said I have some sort of tendonitis in the ankle and that I'm "carrying a significant amount of weight" which isn't making it any better. The med student was seriously like 12, and very cute and awfully sweet, so it was especially nice to be called fat in front if him.
So I'm getting orthotics (can you say out of pocket expense that insurance doesn't cover? I knew you could!). If I don't feel better in 6-8 weeks I'm to go back and get a brace. I may end up with surgery, he couldn't rule that out. At least something is being done, which is more than what's happened in the last 9 months since the accident.
