Oct. 21st, 2008 04:53 pmI read recently that the New York and Los Angeles areas contain 10% of the US population. I know NY and CA are off the table as far as she's concerned, but do you really want to alienate anyone who doesn't live in a small town?
"We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard-working, very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation," she told the crowd.
So those of us who live in large cities aren't the best of America, aren't the real America, aren't hard-working, patriotic or pro-America.
it's so nice to have candidates that bring us together instead of further dividing us, isn't it? It's not enough to be polarized into Red vs. Blue, Liberal vs. Conservative, Coasts vs. Heartland, now we're small town (good!) vs. large city (bad!).
I hate what the last eight years have done to this country. We don't need more of that divisive crap. We need someone who will bring us together and heal the wounds that have been opened and picked at over and over.
