An open letter to Alpha

Sweetie, I understand that it's warm and dark and comfy in there and you'd like to stay there forever. I really do. Please don't listen to those naughty words your Mommy has been saying these last few days. It's just that she wants you the hell out of her body. It's nothing personal. She really just wants to be able to hold you in her arms rather than her innards. And it's really not too comfortable for her to have you in there at this point. She is resorting to drastic measures today, so it would be good if you could please oblige her and get with the program.

P.S. Oh, and it would be really nice if you'd do it before next weekend, as I'd really like to meet you before you're 10 months old, and right now, it looks like I won't be in your part of the world after next weekend until at least next July, if I'm able to travel then.
