1) What is your all time favorite recipe - one that you yourself can make?
My grandmother's chocolate cake. Yum!

2) You always seem so sure of yourself (not in a bad way!) - are there ever times when you're just terrified?
Hahahaahahahaahahahhhahahaaaahaha!
*ahem* Sorry.
Yes, there are. Any time I have to make a decision that impacts my children or our financial situation, I'm terrified that I'm not making the right decision. When it's the middle of the night and Edgar is wheezing and I'm not sure if I need to take her to the ER, I'm terrified. Especially since once, she was admitted when I took her in.

3) What's your dream job? Why aren't you doing it?
Lactation consultant or baker. Not doing LC because I don't have the education and I'd have to go back to school and become a nurse. Not doing baker because I have to pay the bills, but my brother and I are talking about it. He's also a fabulous cook.

4) Would telling you we miss you horribly make you move back to this coast??
No. Sorry. I miss you all too, but this is where my family is and where we have jobs and a great school for Bob, which Edgar will get into as well.

5) What is the best present that anyone has ever given you?
Hmm, I don't know. [livejournal.com profile] llnaughty is a great present-giver, and he always gives me really great presents. I don't know that I can single one out. I do love my engagement ring though.

It's not terrifying, just unpleasant.

Hee. It's probably not very nice of me, but it makes me feel a lot better to know that even the people I see as being totally "together" and adult sometimes have moments of doubt. (Now, having your baby be sick - that's flat-out terrifying for reasons that have nothing to do with self-confidence, and I'm so sorry you've had to go through that. My mother always used to say that she'd rather suffer herself than watch me gasp for breath, and it took me a long time to understand that.)

I hope someday you get to try being a baker. Even though your current job isn't "evil," it'd be nice if you got to chase a dream.
